I've been to one rave. I've really enjoyed it. Though, according to my friends who've been raving for a long time, the rave scene is becoming way to mainstream. Would you agree?

i dunno it might be in the states, i guess it is a bit as in raves will never be as good as they were in the day but i still love em off and every1 else who goes seems to do so aswel

I enjoy the odd rave, though recently I'm finding some people don't have enough respect for their surroundings as they should.

Party on! Each generation needs to do their own thing... it's what allows them to separate from their parents. It's a healthy thing to do.

Raves look awesome, I seriously need to get 'in the scene' so to speak.

I ocasionally go to raves, in Brazil the "scene" has become very popular and the use of extasy and acid has grown unbelievably (which is great because its easy to get a hold on these drugs) and there are always many kinds of parties… more main stream, totally old school, nature connected, urban underground (bit scary) etc… satisfying all dancers heheheh

Anything happy, though hardcore is, like, REALLY good too. I love happy house and happy trance and the like.


Raves in the US started in Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and other underpopulated states surrounding us. Many of my friends have gone to the original raves, in the fields in the countryside. They'd have to walk like 4 hours to get there! Lately, however, (and my source is these same friends) raves have moved to warehouses in downtown, drug use has become much more widespread, harder drugs have entered the scene, violence has increased, and people have started abusing "PLUR". Now, the law is all on raves' asses. Some cities are trying to pass anti-rave regulations all over the US, saying that raves fit into the category of a place designated for drug trade. These days, PLUR stands for Please Let Us Rave. At my own stereotypical rich-bitch suburbian school, people are starting to wear Kandi (bead jewelry made and shared by the rave culture, for anyone who didn't know) and pacifiers around.

So I don't know. There are great people at raves, but it would be sad if the scene died.
