"Albert died at home at 9 AM Basel time from a myocardial infarction, quick and relatively painless. Two caretakers were there with him at the time. The only people who were told were people from Burg, the village where he lived, and Peter and others were surprised the word of his death had gotten out so quickly. It's the age of the internet...

Albert had been increasingly thinking of death these last few months. He
had stopped leaving his home, where he said he could feel the spirit of
Anita, his wife who died December 20, 2007. He didn't come to the World
Psychedelic Forum a month ago, but did entertain some visitors at his
home. We spoke on the phone the day after the Basel conference and he
was happy and fulfilled. He'd seen the renewal of LSD psychotherapy
research with his own eyes, as had Anita. I said that I looked forward
to discussing the results of the study with him in about a year and a
half and he laughed and said he'd try to help the research however he
could, either from this side or "the other side".

Now it even more falls on younger generations to transform LSD into a
legal medicine and beyond that into a tool for personal growth legally
available to all."

Dr. Hofmann was a true scientist through and through. He contributed so much to exploring the human soul and healing the human psyche. He expressed his views without bias, disregarding the political fallout. The revival of shamnastic practices and return of some to our spiritual roots was in part due to Dr. Hofmann's willingness to speak frankly regarding these crucial topics.
I'd like to praise Dr. Hofmann for developing Hydergine. A drug which has saved many thousand of lives and made the quality of life better for thousands more.
I trust that wherever he now is, he's doing what he has always done - exploring, learning and trying to help others.
THANKS DR. HOFMANN. I HOPE SOMEDAY TO REPAY YOU IN PART FOR THE GIFTS THAT YOU BROUGHT TO HUMANITY.
TRUE GENIUS IS A BEAUTIFUL THING, THERE SHOULD BE A HALL OF FAME FOR A MAN SUCH AS THIS.

Hoffman was proof that LSD does no harm what so ever.

The man took more and purer lsd then anyone, and lived to 102. Without it i think he would have lived to 80.

The fact that Hoffman lived for so long demonstrates karmically the benign and transcendental bestowing qualities of the fantastic drug known as LSD. Coincidentally, Allen Cohen, editor and creator of the Haight Ashbury Psychedelic Newspaper The San Francisco Oracle, died this exact date four years ago.

Dr. Albert Hofmann, on the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of his famous bicycle ride:
"You, my dear friends, and millions all over the world who now commemorate the 50th birthday of ergot's child, we all testify gratefully that we got valuable help on the way to what Aldous Huxley said is the end and the ultimate purpose of human life--enlightenment, beatific vision, love. I think all these joyful testimonies of invaluable help by LSD should be enough to convince the health authorities, finally, of the nonsense of the prohibition of LSD and of similar psychedelics."

3 months too late, but its worth it to say thank you and rest in peace. perhaps all this was not necessary to open the doors of my mind, but with it I was able to open them sooner!

~much love~

travel the world man, step into the minds of various people on the drug, haha I sound like a lunatic, but I don't care :p

Although I know little about him other then his creation of LSD and his famous bike ride I love the guy. Bikes are the past, present and future.
