I'm considering leaving the rainy northwest (seattle) for someplace sunnier, preferably not too large (population under 100,000) with lots of MUSIC, since my own business is providing sound systems for live music. I would also like to be able to live in some sort of alternative housing if possible. If you know of cool liberal communities that are green/smoke/liberty-friendly, please tell me all. I have lived in Arcata, but there is not enough base there to make a living. Right now I'm leaning towards San Luis Obispo, Bounder, CO, Ashland Or (may be too small as well) or even HAWAII. I'd be especially interested in info about there. Possibly even the east coast - NC or Vermont. Another option is just hock it up and move to Frisco or DC, so I wouldn't need to own a car. Portland is still too rainy, but maybe Eugene is warmer? Thanks very much
