I just happened to land on the Republican debate tonight just in time to hear them talking about Social Security and Medicare and how to fix it. They said many of us baby boomers will be retiring soon and signing up for benefits-One of them had me laughin hard-talking about' Medicare he said-"just wait until some of those old hippys find out the drugs are free!"-=hahahha-like were gonna make a run on the free meds-lol-of all the things they could be worried about they think the old hippys will get all the free dope from Medicare-lol-

Republicans in general are idiots when it comes to politics and society... or evil geniuses.... or both. They want to control everything and everyone, supress all that is different and unique and good. They love war and money and oil. I don't trust them... not to say that the democrats are any better, but it seems most evil comes from the republicans.

Unfortunately, nothing to the left of the Democrat Party can win an election at the national level. Most Americans like and admire rich people. Many Americans imagine, however irrationally, that they will get rich before they die. As long as that remains the case, far reaching economic reform in a positive direction will not be possible. Dismissing the Democrats as "the lesser of two evils" makes little sense when the Republicans keep getting more evil.
