ths is under this forum because it comes under the heading of LGBT, Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transexual/Transgendered.

now gender and sexuality are different, however they do go hand in hand and if a person considers themself to be under the headings above it is not unusal for them to put themself under more than one heading.

The community of LGBT has a long standing history of looking after each other and promoting their diversity, we have fought for a long time to be accepted by the mainstream community for who we are and we know how it feels to be a minority.

by making the statement 'depressed people aren't gay' sounds far more ignorant than having this forum under the section it is, it actually makes you sound homophobic

I agree. Trans people aren't gay unless they identify so. The vast majority of trans people I know are straight. The section header is 'Gay'. I think if you're going to include trans people here it should be 'LGBT'.
