The programs listed are non-profit organizations, community-based services, donations & others. I listed charitable organizations that are available for each state in energy assistance. Alabama
Alabama Business Charitable Trust Fund
The nonprofit Alabama Business Charitable Trust Fund Trust was created by Alabama Power in 1992 to supplement other energy assistance efforts. The Trust works with community action agencies and other social service organizations to help cover heating and cooling costs of low-income families and those struggling with temporary financial problems.

Project Share
Project Share is funded by contributions from major electric and gas utilities' customers, employees, and stockholders. Alabama Power administers collections, and the Red Cross administers the rest of the program. The project operates year round and serves senior citizens, disabled persons, and those on fixed or low incomes.

Donations from Arkla Gas customers and employees are matched by Arkla. The Good Neighbor Fuel Fund is integrated and coordinated with LIHEAP by supplementing LIHEAP dollars after the program has ended or when benefits are insufficient to meet the household's needs.

Generally, recipients can receive REACH assistance only once within a 12-month period, but exceptions can be made for seniors, the physically challenged and the terminally ill. Operation Fuel
Operation Fuel is a private, non-profit program that provides emergency help with energy or utility bills for people who are not eligible for CEAP or SAFA.
