BTW, there won't be a "hippie" or "YH" group as we already have hippy.com which already incorporates all the features of these groups, plus a whole lot more. The Old Hippies Group is now up and running! Anyone 50 or over is welcome to join us. Everyone else is welcome to view the group page and participate in its forums. Enjoy!

http://www.hipforums.com/modules.php?name=Groups&gid=31I don't get it. There wont be a "hippies" or a "young hippies" group because we have hippie.com yet there is an "old hippies" group. Old hippies can't use hippy.com as well? What exactly is the Logic behind this? I'm not tring to sound like a smartass, but i just dont understand this.

I think Skip's logic is that anything the young hippies would need, or talk about is already there on hippy.com, and the old hippies group isn't there for just talking it is a place for old hippies, to reminisce on old times

I am not sure what Skip's original scope of the group was...and I am speaking out of my own opinion...but I wear my age as a badge of honor....as most do from out of those times...and having a group directed at us survivors of a time of turmoil ...to go on to exist in a "deaf ear" society...and make it this far in life....it is like a recognition group(in my opinion)....not to mention the wealth of information available to the younger generation...that will eventually make it into the "old hippies" group forums...but what do I know..I'm just a damned ol' social outcast lol

I never said you guys shouldnt get a group. You guys totally deseave a group, but i feel as though we should all be treated equally, and the young hippies should get a group too. I'm starting to wonder why skip has not yet resonded to my post.

I think that Skip would recommend that you have a look at all the other groups, and hone your usage of this website to let the you and everyone else meet new people who have also warmed to perhaps the small personal groups or the common interest sections.

Up to you.

This is like the Chris Rock routine about Black History Month. "We get 28 days to celebrate Black History. They get 365 days to celebrate White history."
