Wow, good stuff. I thought they already had gone under. I haven't seen a Woolworths for ages.

The town I'm in is pretty small really. There's probably some through the cities, but the only shopping I do there is for live music and alcohol :)
Still though I'm kinda suprised to read there's 2 or 3 in your neck of the woods. I certainly didn't think they were doing that well.

Still though I'm kinda suprised to read there's 2 or 3 in your neck of the woods. I certainly didn't think they were doing that well.there's definitely one in the main town center and then i know for a fact there's one on the high street of a local town (about 5 miles away say from the main town center). i say probably 3 because i'd imagine there'd be one in Billericay as well, but I don't go there often as it's a whopping 7 miles away  and i don't usually travel that far outside of the immediate area ... yes, i'm sad. ;)
I think that the groups are not original. I saw this tv documentary years ago. Apparently they have sound alikes who punt out the tunes and then sell it off as the original artist. Not sure if it is still going on but the price may give you a clue. if it was original, it would not cost a quid. I think Elvis, the King of Rock. Or Stone Roses. I mean come on, I reckon Elvis would turn in his grave if his massive hits were sold for a penny a track.

Honest they are real! The Johnny cash, james brown and marley were random compilations. hendrix turned out to be a live album. stone roses was their self titled though, the one with the oranges on the front

Woolworths is great for CDs, you can get some real bargains there, much better than HMV and other overpriced stores...
