I've been here for a while but been busy as hell. I'm ready to get out and meet some cool peoples. Whats the gathering spots around here for open minds?
I know the beach has some srum circles, but alot of times I am under the impression things are so tribal. Been kinda isolated(learning web design - programming OUTSIDE of the classroom) and just working full time, so its hard for me to get familiar with people, who have been in the same click since HS.

TI drum circle's not too tribal...If anything it's too touristy what with all the video recorders but it's cool to go show off, dance, drum, w/e...and there's poi spinners there. They allow canned beer there on Treasure Island beach too.
Clearwater Beach every nite is kickin'. Try Dunedin Brewery tue-sat or Skippers on Thursdays. Cafe Adagio downtown St Pete is pretty conscious oriented, Fri or Sat. Also, cool is a relative term but this is a big city. There are over a million people in Pinellas county, just drive around.

Oh, I've been to the brewery quite few times. Dunedin brewery's got some good brew.

My car broke. . . . . but I think I'll find another way to the beach and back anyway. Really wanted to find a way to some hippiefests or something. we used to have these in OH where I used to live, but I just don't hear about them since moving here. I'm probably not looking hard enough. Or i just need to move to Tampa at some point.
